This is an open call for submissions – short films about craft and making – from around the world – for the third edition of the international Makers’ Film Festival.
The Makers’ Film Festival is a short film festival with a focus on craft, makers and making.
We are looking for a diversity of approach in both craft and film-making to illustrate the breadth and wonder of craft practice, skills, makers and materials around the world.

The MFF is produced by Maker&Smith. The first compilation of 24 short films screened as part of IOTA21: Indian Ocean Craft Triennial at the WA Maritime Museum with tour screenings at regional WA arts centres in Midland, Exmouth, Dwellingup, interstate at Alice Springs, Adelaide, and Sydney; and internationally in Seoul, Korea.
The second edition (MFF23) continues to screen locally, interstate and internationally.

We thank the Crafts Council UK for the inspiration through their three editions of Reel to Real: the craft film festival which we toured in Australia in 2018 and 2019.
