Megan Stewart’s focus is on designing and fabricating bespoke spectacle frames, under the business name of Smec Eyewear.
Each frame is fabricated from light-weight titanium, employing hand, mechanical and digital skills including 3D printing. Inspired by the local scenery, her designs also take inspiration from vintage frame designs, such as the 1960s cats-eye style. She also designs and makes a unique range of spectacle cases.
Based in Perth, Western Australia, Megan graduated from the ANU School of Art & Design in Gold & Silversmithing in 2017, and is sought after as one of a few designers in Australia with a specialism in distinctive eyewear.
Megan welcomes commissions to create bespoke frames for your glasses and their cases.
