Enter the magical world of Bukeshla in Fremantle – the boutique and atelier of Trish Bygott and Nathan Crotty – where imagination and inspiration abound.
Trish trained in textile design at RMIT in Melbourne and has taught in the textile departments of Curtin and Edith Cowan Universities. Her practice is strongly underpinned by her own distinctive figurative motifs and style, which encompasses the hand-stitched and embroidery, the garment, public art, drawing and decorative painting.
Nathan’s ingenuity and creativity is all around at Bukeshla, in the shop fittings, garden design and pattern room, and as a maker he is known as a valued collaborator and visionary creator in artists’ installations.
In 2009, Trish established the studio and boutique Bukeshla in Fremantle. With a focus on stitch and design, Trish also offers workshops which explore the healing nature of stitch, as well as the beauty and pleasure that is found through good design and technique.
Maker&Smith are delighted to co-host couture fashion masterclasses with Bukeshla.
