Lucy Aboagye is the creative entrepreneur of the ‘Not Yet Perfect Studio’ at the Heathcote Cultural Precinct at Point Heathcote/Kooyagoordup in Perth, where she runs pottery and sewing classes in a non-pressured environment.
As Lucy says,
Many of us experience a strong desire for PERFECTION in our crafts and lives. We spend years working tirelessly to find a place where we feel most satisfied to expose our work, and who we really are to others.
This desire for perfection is often what hinders us from sharing our lives and our creations. This desire for perfection often prevents us from experiencing real connection.
I created ‘Not Yet Perfect’ as a platform and a space to share and showcase the imperfect things we’d rather hide away. To break free from the never being PERFECT enough trap, and to have a space where it is acceptable to be content with our imperfections. To liberate myself, and others, from our critical eyes.
As well as running hand building and wheel work pottery workshops, and sewing classes, Lucy also welcomes commissions.
You can find Not Yet Perfect online, where you can book Lucy’s workshops.
